The Night House Opens Its Doors In New Trailer

Nightmare location.

Horror has been home to many hellish establishments over the years, and it looks like a new one is being added to the block with The Night House, which has just released a brand new trailer. Looks lovely, very spacious, plenty of room to scream bloody murder and go insane in.

Directed by David Bruckner, The Night House sees Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3, The Prestige) as a newly grieving widow forced to pick up the pieces from her husband’s death in the house he built for the two of them. Naturally struggling to let go of her love as it is, Beth (Hall) begins to face an even greater challenge when a mysterious force presents itself in her home. Pretty soon, she’s opening doors she never knew existed and staring at walls that are staring right back, leaving her to wonder if her husband or something far more sinister is residing in this once happy home with her.

The creep factor is at an impressive high with what’s on show in The Night House, and it comes as no surprise from Bruckner. Not only has the film already done the rounds at film festivals almost a year ago, where it was met with critical acclaim, but this is also the guy that gave us The Ritual a quaint little chiller that also received a fair bit of praise, as well as a segment on classic handheld horror anthology, V/H/S.

Joining Hall in the horrors of The Night House will be  Sarah Goldberg (Barry, The Hummingbird Project), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac, Vox Lux), Evan Jonigkeit (Together Together, The Empty Man) and Vondie Curtis-Hall (Daredevil, For the People). See which ones survive this fully furnished scream fest when the film arrives in cinemas on July 16.
