The Get Out and Us director Jordan Peele tweeted out a brand new poster for his next film, finally revealing the title and date when we finally get to see it? Do we know anything else? Nope, but the poster sure looks nice.
As always from the man behind two of the most groundbreaking scare fests in recent years, details are limited in relation to what could be a horror hat trick for Jordan Peele. What was confirmed a while back is that the cast will be comprised of Academy award nominee Steve Yuen, Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya and Emmy nominee Keke Palmer. It’s anyone’s guess as to just who will be playing hero, and who will be the next big threat Peele has planned for us. Given Kaluuya’s chilling performance in Widows, it would be great to see him go bad again.
Set for release July 22nd 2022, Nope will mark the second project Peele will be working with Kaluuya on since Get Out, and the globe-dominating actor went on to win a shiny gold statue for his performance in Judas and the Black Messiah last year. Just what part he and his co-stars will be playing in the upcoming top-secret project is still unknown. What’s certain is that it may involve clouds. Big. Ominous. Clouds.
Surveillance? Aliens? High risk of evening showers? Feel free to place your bets on what Jordan Peele’s Nope will be bringing when it arrives in cinemas next year.
